Computer Cycle

Understand the jargon to ensure you get the best deal on a new computer by Jemma Halsen
Over the life cycle of a product you are always going to have to replace something, this is especially the case with electrical products. Electrical products in comparison to more traditional hardened products have a very short lifespan, for example a computer will often only last you up to 5 years in comparison to an item such as a car which can last well over ten to twenty years if you are looking to keep it for such prolonged periods.
This is why we of course like to find the best deal on such a product which will be replaced after such a period of time but also why we look for quality and durability at the same time which will make the product last a little longer than you would expect.
When it comes to purchasing a new computer, you can often find it is difficult to get to grips with the jargon and what exactly you need from a computer. As after all a computer salesman in a shop will more often than not tell you exactly what you want to hear rather than often what you need to hear. After all a salesman has his own agenda and is there to try and persuade you to part with your cash in return for the information he is telling you.
This shows why you need to essentially find all your own information and requirements before you even consider setting foot in a shop and decide on a type of computer. You may think you need a different model to the one that you actually do require based upon the specifications. Some of the most important aspects of computers systems would be the memory, this is vital to find the right combination when you are looking to purchase a computer.
There are two forms of memory in a computer, both RAM and ROM which each serve a different purpose in the computers running. RAM is the operations on the computer while it is switched on, it keep all the programmes and windows running that are necessary and is completely wiped when the computer is switched off. Whereas ROM is important to save any files, programmes and media content on a permanent basis when the computer is switched off.
Look up other such important terms to help you find a computer that is tailored specifically to your needs and requirements in a new system, browse the options before you settle on a specific deal for you.
